I am an outcome-driven Leader, System Architect, and Solution Evangelist. I have a Master of Engineering and a penchant for accelerating business growth, growing technical teams, and integrating the enterprise. My background integrates unique understanding of operations, knowledge, and analytics. I actively balance engineering, design, architecture, and applications with special consideration toward operations, knowledge, and analytics.
My professional experienced includes an engineer, architect, developer and team leader. As an accomplished Project Manager and Director, I have demonstrated proactive application of digital technologies and agile methodologies balanced between engineering, development, automation, adaptive processing, and distributed systems. As an accomplished Senior Dot NET Developer, I am adept at user engagement and robust feature rich solutions. As a Solution Evangelist, I have a recognized command of processes, distributed systems, analytics, machine learning, and multiple digital technologies.
I have extensive data engineering experience including acquisition, storage, retrieval, and analytics – real-time and batch. I have demonstrated superior skills in C#, VB, .NET, Office VBA, MS-SQL, and Crystal Reports. Furthermore, I have demonstrated a unique ability to analyze, automate, and integrate applications and solutions.
My background integrates unique understanding of operations, knowledge, and analytics. I actively balance engineering, design, architecture, and applications with special consideration toward operations, knowledge, and analytics.
Projects which I lead are based on robust, reliable, resilient, and reproducible solutions. I approach knowledge engineering as data engineering – real-time tactical analytics, after-the-fact forensic analytics, and pre-project predictive analytics.
My management approach is the collaborative and cross-discipline concepts based on the 5th Discipline / Learning Organizations; the team pulls energy and excitement from the project. My team building philosophy is “the best team member is the one that can work anywhere, but chooses to work here”
I began developing military avionics systems for General Dynamics and Sikorsky Aircraft. Since 1990, I have been developing Systems and Applications for the Energy Industry including integrated information systems, systems analytics, real-time processing, and operations management. Teams I have led have included small and agile systems groups, interdisciplinary mission avionics groups, and industry leading proactive predictive analytics, case based reasoning, and data mining.
I'm a contributing leader in public conferences as an Applied System Engineer and Machine Learning Architect. I am a contributing author for energy industry and computer science magazines, speaker at industry conferences, and Professor of Computer Science at Lone Star College.
